Today’s skill work focused on the split jerk. This explosive movement requires athletes to trust their ability to jump weight off thier shoulders and catch it in a sable position. The technique really clicked for some of our athletes today and we had 4 lifts near or above 300 lbs ( 295 (Mike Tarnapoll, Kevin Schafer, 300, Jamie Byrum, 305 Jake Fanning). Our skill level as a gym has been getting really solid the last couple weeks!
